Wow very good game
Just played this today and really loved it the black and white textures really added atmosphere to the game planning on playing the second episode this week.
My gameplay video
A real masterpiece. Nothing else to say but... Thanks a lot !
Awesome little horror game! I quite enjoyed the dark, pixel graphics and the 1950s aesthetic. Very atmospheric stuff. My play-through below, for anyone interested (though I recommend playing it yourself first!):
Ooohh this was awesmome! The narration, the story, the art, and the puzzles were all great. That ending actually spooked me a bit, not gonna lie. Once I restart my heart, I'll be playing episode 2! (Hope to see more amazing things from you in the future!)
I recommend to play the game then watch the video to avoid spoilers!!
I have fallen in love with these 2D games. He is one of my favorite developers.
i love midnight scene series. Music, Story ,Mechanics everything! Goes so perfect. I wish the second one bit shorter. But i love both of em. Cant wait for new "Survival" midnight scene episode.
Man oh man, this, was a good one, and yeah, it definitely felt like a short episode of The Twilight Zone. Though I wish it were a bit longer, it was a very good short little experience, and I can't wait to see what the second one has to offer.
I Absolutely love the Twilight Zone style I am a huge fan of the series.
Amazing game! Just a curiosity ... the second time I played, after the boy appeared, I didn't take the picture and decided to look at the game again. I found the boy in the bathroom so I want to know if there are something else to see ... Anyway, the game is very beautiful and well done, I loved the animations and cutscenes
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it :) The boy in the bathroom is just an easter egg for explorers like you, who go back to the house before picking up the picture. That's all the extra content you'll find, though. Make sure to try Episode 2! :)
good game...I feel bad for the kid though :(((
AMAZING little game. Octavi, you´re great story teller. I have played most of your games and I gotta say. I love every single one of them. I just wish some of em were longer and didn´t leave so many questions behind :D but maybe that´s a good thing. Imagination is sometimes the best answer. I wishthere was a sequel for this episode. I´m very curious why was she experiencing all this craziness. Thank you for your work!
Amazing game, The visuals, music and the creepy atmosphere were awesome.
Loved the spooky atmosphere conjured, the pixel art and that Twilight Zone feel. Really nice. :D
I have been saving your games for awhile now, cause I knew they would be great. Just finished this first, now going to play the rest! Thank you for your work its amazing
Is there gonna be a patch for macOS Catalina?
I LOVED IT! This is the third game from you that I play, and as usual, it was great! The atmosphere, the way the story was told, short but precise! It did remind me of Stephen King. I wonder if you write stories as well, or just make them into games.
In either way, I made a playthrough out of it. That was phenomenal and I'll keep an eye out for more things from you.
I'm so glad you liked them!! Make sure to try the sequel too! ;)
GAMEPLAY WALKTHROUGH (POSTED FOR LAST TIME)
I want to know more! D:
This was an absolute delight, very atmospheric, true to its inspiration and the sound design as well as the music were so good (I mean, you could even hear her shoes echo on the asphalt, amazing). I already played the second episode and can’t wait for further episodes, this little world you created here is absolutely gorgeous and achieves so many spooks with the right atmosphere and some incredibly smart design choices (like that missing-poster!).
I look like a mess in this playthrough but my enthusiasm is unbridled.
(I haven't tried Episode 2, so everything here is subject to change) Not too bad of a game. I liked the atmosphere and the art style, as well as the point and click style. I just love point and click games a lot. However, I do think the game's length (despite it being said that it's short) does make it a bit underwhelming. Whilst the atmosphere is good, and it at some moments it made me feel uncomfortable (in a good way), I think it can take it up a notch. Otherwise, it had a pretty good atmosphere. However, I do think some of the puzzles are a bit lackluster. Maybe if the puzzles were a little more challenging, it could've made it a great point click and game. And yeah, it was a pretty good point and click game. 4/5 stars. I would totally recommend it to anyone who likes point and click style games or just anyone who likes horror games in general.
I loved the game nice one first time trying horror i love the art style and the sppoky envirement
One of the best games i played so far, great horror that does not depend on cheap scares, love the point and click gameplay and general art style, definitively hope to see more of this in the future.
Recomendado.
Incredible game. 100% recommend
Was very interesting indeed, and now i want more then just two episodes :D
great game hop there will be more parts
Thank you! Have you tried episode 2? https://octavinavarro.itch.io/midnight-scenes-the-goodbye-note
hello! i really love this game, but... i dont understand about the story..
This was really cool!! Very atmospheric and fun. I'm going to try episode 2 now.
Here's a full fast walkthrough if anyone got stuck.
I feel pity for the family.. I wish the boy got a happy ending.
It has that Twilight Zone feel to it and I am in love with this. The storytelling was superb. Keep it up!
woah. Awesome game. The graphics were pixelated which makes them great graphics, it's a heart racing game, and it'll give you a good scare. Keep up the episodes please.
Great atmosphere, awesome nods to The Twilight Zone! Expertly crafted, bit-sized adventure! Keep them coming!
