Best regards

I have played a couple of your games over the years. Each one was great. This is the first one I have paid for; I played previous games while they were free. Each one before was excellent, and this one was worth every penny. Art, writing, sound, animation, all great! I thought I already understood the story--then, the masterfully executed twist. Prime horror! May you always have the freedom and support to create art!

Thank you so much for your beautiful words and wishes! <3
Let's hope we can keep making our little games for a long time! :)

The STRANGEST Pixel Game I’ve Ever Played.. | Midnight Scenes: A Safe Place

This video is about 2 hours long I doubt anyone is gonna watch the full thing, if you do then I appreciate and love you so much.. what an amazing game this was, first time ever playing something like this, I hope the other episodes aren’t in some kind of order, the ending.. wow.. 10/10 and I mean that! I’m definitely gonna play the others!

Thanks for sharing your video! :) I'm glad you enjoyed the game.
And don't worry, they are all independent stories. That said, you should probably play The Nanny before From the Woods ;)

Another banger, the ending absolutely blew my mind. This was probably my favorite Midnight Scenes episode yet, followed closely by The Nanny. Always a pleasure playing this series!

Thank you Ghost! <3

Midnight Scenes never disappoints!  I couldn't stop thinking about this game even after I had finished playing, it took such a turn from where i thought it was going.  So great and cannot wait to play the next game!

Thank you so much cozychills, and thanks for sharing your playthrough! We're so glad you liked it. Stay tuned for the next one! :)

How to load the game? I turned the game off and came back and clicked "load game" and nothing happens.

Hi waclac! Could you please let me know if you saved the game before turning it off? There's no auto-save in this one, so you need to save manually.

This was my first time playing one of the Midnight Scenes games, and needless to say I will most definitely be checking out the others in this series.  The story was absolutely FANTASTIC, the characters relatable and easy to empathize with, and the graphics are chefs kiss.

Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your playthrough!! :)

Was this made in godot or unity just wondering. The game is beautiful looking and love the art and atmosphere.

Thanks! :) It was made in Unity.

this is absolutely the best installment of midnight scenes yet! the visuals were striking from the start, the artwork is amazing and i felt truly immersed right away. and the story is phenomenal! not only was i excited to figure out what was happening, the ending completely caught me off guard. the story-telling overall was excellent and everything felt complete. plus the demons are cool.

i'm always excited for any and all midnight scenes games and this one knocked it out of the park. thank you for your work and i already can't wait for the next one!

p.s. the straw doll was a very nice touch - it kind of made me feel like a detective, trying to piece these stories together :DD

Thank you so much, bu! I'm so glad you liked it. Knowing that many people think it's the best so far is really great! <3<3

What an end. Definitely the best writing in the series till date! Also a big fan of the the how the visuals were used. Only thing I'd say was that the user control i.e. the gameplay was a bit on the shorter side and wish we had more control over the actions.

Regarding the straw doll in the mailbox, was it just an easter egg (referring to the previous game) or was there something I missed?

Thank you for your kind words! Glad you liked it :)
Well spotted! There are some clues in our games, like the straw doll, pointing to a wider theme. It's our way of saying it all happens in the same universe.

Another amazing game in the Midnight Scenes and my god I was not expecting the ending of this game. It broke me a bit. Phenomenal work.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it! :)

Always look forward to these, I think you all have outdone yourselves this time.

New to the Midnight Scene series, but I found this game to be absolutely chilling. Theorized about Phil and Piper a bit and the meanings behind the computer games.

Thank you for the lovely video! <3

My favourite game series FINALLY has a new installment!

I absolutely love the storytelling of all Octavi Navarros games. The graphical style is really visually pleasing too.

Big fan of how the latest 2 games have been longer (roughly 90 mins).

Check out my gameplay

below

Thank you for your support Rhys! I'm so glad you enjoyed this one too! <3

Powerful stuff, and that reveal felt very earned. I don't know if this was my favorite entry so far, but it was definitely the most narratively sophisticated. The character writing on these lately has been straight-up literary.

Glad you liked it! Thank you so much for your kind words! <3<3

THANK YOU SO MUCH OCTAVI  NAVARRO FOR ANOTHER MASTERPIECE. ON MY TOP 12 OF YEAR .

What a great evening spent playing this one. Horror, intrigue and trauma in equal parts, creating another successful entry in the series.

Thank you so much Odd House! So glad you liked it :)

You're welcome 😁👌

Very good game! I loved it, and personally really enjoyed the "cringe" parts as they were just really real lol. Great storyline to follow too! Also thanks for the little sale too that's really awesome of you!

Thank you so much, and thank you for the playthrough video! I'm so glad you liked it :)

Hi, Looks great, could you translate to spanish?

Another great game with beautiful pixel art, thank you.

Hey there, I'm really looking forward to playing! I was wondering if there was an issue with the download? I'm trying to install the game but the download page isn't showing a file. I'll keep digging around on my end in case I'm missing something but I wanted to reach out and see if something happened to be up with the itch.io file. Thank you!!

Hi, sorry about this issue. Did you manage to find the file? I double-checked and everything looks in place.
Are you using the app or it's a direct download? We had a little issue with the app but it's now solved, so if that's the case, please try to download it again.

If the problem persists, the next step would be to contact support and let them know you couldn't retrieve the file.

Please let me know if you manage to solve the issue or if we need to investigate further.

Thank you and sorry again for the inconvenience.

Hey, there, Octavi! I just ended up playing this game of yours as well, and... thank you. No, really, thank you. That ending was just what I needed to go on with my life... 😑

That said, I have been having a couple of questions about your future games, and I hoped you could answer me:

1 - Is there any chance Midnight Scenes - The Highway gets the From the Woods treatment? I always felt like the story behind that game was interesting enough to warrant a sequel of its own, perhaps about Claire willing to find out what actually happened that night and ending up involved in some Government/Area 51 affair (like it seemed from the game)

2 - How is Booklice going? Because I saw some screenshots of it, and it really looked promising to me... also, it would be really nice to see something else from you and Susanna, other than Midnight Scenes

Well, that's it! Congrats again about this game, see you in the next one.

Hey there! Thanks for playing it!

Our deepest apologies for the ending xD I hope you enjoyed the game overall though :)

We've been thinking for a while on doing a "remake" of Midnight Scenes 1 with a longer story. We can't promise anything at the moment but stay tuned! :)

Booklice was finally canceled, sadly. We worked very hard on it and it has a special place in our hearts, but it just wasn't working :/
We may try to revive it someday, using some of the main ideas, but it's not in our immediate plans.

I see... so sorry about Booklice, but very glad to hear there might be a chance for a Highway 2.0. About this game overall, of course I enjoied it! Thanks for the reply

This is a great little narrative horror game with fantastic art.

I can see why some people would have an issue with this game particularly with the pacing of the story, but I didn't mind it at all. Some people will see the things that happen between events as filler, but I see them as necessary to bring the player back into the world and help lower their guard for the next hit of tension.

Some people will cringe at the characters but people like this really do exist. The characters are very flawed and human in ways that we might not be willing to accept but these types of people exist all around us and this game sheds a light on that. If you're unconvinced that characters like this actually exist, go browse through Reddit for 5 minutes and you'll see.

In any case, it's a good game and you get to enjoy it for less than the price of a movie ticket. Get the game if you enjoy visual novels. If you're on the fence, just watch a playthrough. I would highly recommend my video, of course.

;)

Thank you so much for the playthrough and the reviews! Much appreciated :)
We're so glad you enjoyed it overall.

So nice! Purchases it already just to support you (played at previous games). Are you also planning to make a MacOS version in the future?

Thank you so much for your support! I hope you enjoy it! :)
We may release it for Mac in the near future, but we can't say for sure yet.

No rush, thanks anyway!
